OUT WITH THE OLD
It appears that the Bath Rugby player who lives across our hallway is leaving for the bright lights of London and a new rugby team. We'll miss your presence, dude.
Being truly fickle though - it looks like we might have a new neighbour to boast of.
Neighbours to the stars, we are. Ja, Tannie.

LETTING HER DOWN GENTLY
Sheesh, Bruce. A little harsh, there don't you reckon, mayte?
(Disclaimer: 42 second clip. Requires headphones if viewed in a public place. Not for those with a quiet dislike of the f word.)
D'ya git the missage, Jo? D'ya?
Blerry snaaks.

MORE SOCIAL GUILT
When will it be OK to not be ashamed of being raised in South Africa?
Do all Germans feel an inherent sense of guilt from their past too?
How far can a person go to denounce their government and not fear for their life or freedom?
Pastor Niemoller summed up the power of oligarchic governments in his Poem "First They Came...":
"...Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up. "
The UK should take note of incidents like the Forest Gate Raid...
“First they came for the Muslims, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Muslim..”
Dis nie lekker nie.

CROSSING THE SEVERN?

Please remember to remove any plastic flags of St George from your car when crossing the Severn Bridge. They may be re-attached on re-entry into England.

eBAY SCAMMERS
The Broken Laptop I sold on eBay is brilliant. One man's revenge for losing over £300 paid out for a faulty laptop on eBay. (He found that the hardrive was intact though!)
Reminds me of someone who recently bought a "How to Pass the Police Initial Recruitment Test" DVD on eBay, only to be sent a fake copy of the product. Genius!
Pasop julle!

RUUUUN!
I took the sport of "watching people run from the Park & Ride bus to their cars in a bid to make a swift exit" to new heights last night.
The Park & Ride is 4 miles (6.5km) away from my work, and as I haven't really run since the Half Marathon in March, and as I am signed up to enter the 5km Race for Life this Sunday - I thought I'd race the bus back.
The bus kept getting stuck in traffic - and I WON.
Naaaargh naaaaargh nargh nargh naaaargh.
I need to work on getting a bit faster, though (42 minutes)...
Lekker.
