OBSERVE THE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS
L and I recently spent a relaxing long weekend at Longleat Centreparcs.
My first visit there a few years ago was a bit of a culture shock. We rented a family cabin and were surrounded by Wimpy Burger Bar style furniture - too many wipable surfaces, and sticky chairs, tables, spoons, plates... you get the picture. Also - the pubs reminded me of motorway service stations - very odd.
THIS time the "village" was quieter, and we had an "Executive Style" apartment, (the "style" bit gives it away - like strawberry "flavoured" milkshakes) which was a VAST improvement on wipeable surfaces and paper mache rock lined streets of the family area.
We managed to fit in:
swimming (water chutes and pool), squash, archery, lazer clay pigeon shooting, badminton, spa - saunas and swimming, aerobiking (spinning), canoeing, cycling & tai chi
..and relaaaaaax.
I've been back at work 2 weeks now, and am in desparate need of another holiday.
Lekker.
